Murray A. Snook, M.D.

Dr. Snook received his degree in medicine from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas in 1989.  He completed his Family Practice residency at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1992.  Dr. Snook has been in practice in Georgetown since 1992 and resides here with his wife and 4 children.


Dr. Snook is board certified with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.  He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, and the Williamson County Medical Society.  He enjoys water sports, golf and fishing.

Richard E. Otto, M.D.

Dr. Otto received his degree in medicine from the University Of Texas Medical Branch School Of Medicine in Galveston, TX.  His residency training in Family Medicine was completed at Brackenridge and St. David's Hospital with the Austin Medical Education Program.  Dr. Otto is also a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin where he completed his undergraduate degree and competed as a varsity member of the Men's Swimming Team.  


Dr. Otto is a board certified member of the American Association of Family Practice and is also a member of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the Williamson County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.  His scope of practice covers the classical focus of pediatrics to geriatrics, with a special emphasis on dermatology.  Dr. Otto is excited to be in the Georgetown Community, and he is striving to continue providing quality health care to the people of Central Texas.

Candice Weiner-Johnson, M.D.

 

Dr. Candice Weiner-Johnson, MD is a Texas native who was born and raised in Luling, Texas.  She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor of science in neuroscience.  Afterwards she completed her medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center and was given the Excellence in Psychiatry award upon graduation.  She completed her residency training at LSU-S in family medicine where she also won numerous awards for her research, authored a book chapter in the Color Atlas and Synopsis of Family Medicine, and served on several state and national medical committees.  She is a board certified physician in family medicine with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.

 

Dr. Weiner-Johnson has been happily married for 6 years and is the joyous mother of a spirited 3-year-old red-headed son and a 5-year-old border collie/ aussie rescue pup.  She loves swing dancing, the theater, and travel - that is, when she isn’t changing diapers.  She is proud and honored to return to Texas to practice medicine.

Tony I. Gauntt, PA-C

Tony has been in practice as a physician assistant for 35 years, 34 of those years providing comprehensive health care for patients in the Georgetown and surrounding areas. He completed his undergraduate degree at Southwestern University in Georgetown and his physician assistant training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston Texas. He is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants of which he is a past president of and the Central Texas Society of Physician Assistants. Tony's current role at Family Medical Center of Georgetown is providing urgent care for existing and new patients, enabling patients to have same day appointments for acute onset of illnesses and minor injuries.

Marc J. Wauson, PA-C

 

Marc joined FMC of Georgetown in August 2016. He received his Master’s in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical, Dallas Texas in 2007. Prior to coming to FMC, he worked as a family Practice PA in Granbury, Texas for 7 years.

 

Marc completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1994. He practiced as a Physical Therapist in San Antonio for 12 years with the Methodist Healthcare System previous to becoming a PA.

 

Marc is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Central Texas Physician Assistant Society. He sees patients from pediatrics to geriatrics with a special interest in Diabetes and Men’s Health. Marc grew up in the Temple/Troy, Texas area. He is married and enjoys spending his spare time playing tennis and watching his 3 grandchildren play sports.

Douglas N. Peters, PA-C

Doug joined Family Medical Center of Georgetown in 2018. He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. Prior to coming to FMC, Doug worked in trauma at CHI St. Joseph in Bryan, TX. 
Doug received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied philosophy and math. He then had a brief stint working in artificial intelligence before doing graduate work in philosophy and linguistics at The University of California, San Diego, where he earned his master's in linguistics. Disillusioned with academia, he worked as a high school math teacher before deciding to go into medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Central Texas Physician Assistant Society. 
Doug is originally from Bryan/College Station but grew up in League City, south of Houston. He is an avid surfer, hiker, and road-tripper. For the other 11 months of the year, he enjoys riding his bike, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter. He is a 7th generation native Texan and loves the people, places, and history of Texas.
